Snow rarely falls in Austin, Texas and when it does everything shuts down and we all enjoy a fabulous snow day! As southerners it is hard to understand how individuals go to school, work, or even outside when it is so cold outside however those locations are well prepared for severe weather situations. Beat the July heat at Girlstart’s Ice Age Summer Camp! Girls in the 4th & 5th grades will engineer an Olympic snowboard Half Pipe, design a frictionless suit for a professional speed skater and create a milk cartoon igloo. From arctic animals, freezing weather and programming a skiing computer game, the mountain top is the limit in this chilly camp.
